First week of March and we're up and fully operational!

My brother and father washed buckets and tapped 200+ trees while I was on vacation in Feb! (I almost feel bad)

I returned about a week ago to a sugar bush that needed 180 gallons of sap collected by hand with heavy snow pack... makes things a little different than past years.
After some boil we produced a wonderful flavored light syrup this week under spotty runs in the sugar bush. We did manage to collect another 130 gallons of mostly frozen sap that again yielded a superb grade of syrup (8 gallons in total for the season). Sugar content looks to be quite high compared to previous collections at this time of the season.

Bring on the big runs!!

We wish eveyone luck and keep us up to date on your progress!!

Full buckets (or tanks) to everone!
