my brother inlaw (wv sugarshak ) sap is foaming up when he collect it and is not clear . the top of his bush is starting to get red. he would like to now should he keep collecting. it got warm some of his collection container turned green and he replaced them with clean ones.

When you say the top of his bush is turning red, do you mean the buds on the trees are out? If thats the case its over.

So what if it makes bad syrup, if you can stand the smell when cooking it the syrup brokers will still buy it. 98% of corn syrup will cover it, that what I'm told is how they sell the stuff in stores that are made with 2% real maple Syrup. The 2% of real is just unedible. PM me I will tell you where you can sell your unedible syrup. I have sold many a gallon of it, I buy my jugs and more tubing and other items off of unedible syrup. I use trash syrup to keep expanding.
