hi folks i am trying to find out if there is banother option for loose fill insul to build up the back of the arch other than vermiculite? And how much i put in and in what kind of rolloing configuration? Any help would be appreciated

Different members have put in lots of different things from sand through arch boards and lots of bricks.

What's your objection to vermiculite? It's safe, it's light, it's cheap and it's readily available. Just cover it with something so it won't move around on you.

no objection to it it is my preference . just cant get it around here now, i am in a back area and options are limited, the local lumber yard has little bags for planting but only a few and the $ are big ---plus the covering
