View Full Version : Stack Theromometer Installation
Dumb question. I purchased the stack thermometer from the Leader catalog. Does the triangle looking clip go inside the stack? Otherwise, I dont see the need for it. If it goes inside, I guess I will have to wait until next year to permanantly install it.

I think the clip is for an oven or something. I didn't use it. Just make sure you drill a small enough hole so you have to force the probe through it and it should stay in place just fine. Mine is done that way and hasn't moved yet.

Jason, this is my first year for a stack thermometer, too. We drilled a small hole, just smaller than the thermo stem. In fact, there should be a small machined collar, or band, on the stem. That is where it holds the stem in place. About 4" stick out of the stack. That clip is not needed.
