i think its way too early to say still, but for what its worth (not much) the accuweather 15 day outlook has some decent temps for sap all thru the 15 days. but that will likely change in a day or two anyhow, they seem to change the forecast as fast as i can look at it!

its been way to cold for trees to think of budding here! many nights in the teens lately, we just havent got the warmth needed in the days very often!

Well jolly good we just got in a truck load yesterday of almost 500g of sap, alittle low on the sugar content because of the rain we just got, some slipped into the buckets but not much cause we pulled of quite a bit of gold last night. I think we're gonna get a nice run here in Westbrook, CT

Pulled off the first syrup yesterday and just got some more today. Need to do finishing so maybe we'll have a gallon all told.
But...already taught about 20 who stopped by the Sugar Shack today so it's worth it!
Closed tomorrow. Should be boiling all week...need syrup to sell for 3/5/11. If you have extra that you want us to sell on consignment, let me know. We're hosting 100 folk if it doesn't rain...they all want to buy!
We sell 1/2 pints as a fundraiser for the park, $7.00, limit 2 per family. Not much but that way everyon gets a taste.
I hope my teaching helps you guys sell yours to make the $ you need to survive!
