How would I convert my newer style 1/2 pint to burn oil? Is there a door they sell to mount to the burner or do you need to fab one?
Are you buying a combustion chamber or making your own and how do you know what size nozzle to use? Alot of ????.
Any help is great.

Thanks,

With a 1/2 pint and it being a flat pan and not nearly as efficient as an evaporator since it doesn't have any flues, you are going to have probably at least $ 10 per gallon and likely $ 15 or possibly more with the cost of oil.

Not meaning to discourage you, but something to think about. You could use your current setup and mount the burner on the door of the 1/2 pint and insulate the front of the arch and you would be ready to go. The firebox would be the combustion chamber and it would be better if you could insulate it too. :) Probably a 1 to 1.5 gph burner would be sufficient. :?
