I have a masport M5 vacuum with an oil reclaimer and was wondering what should the oil flow rate be. Should it be a slow drip, steady drip, fast drip, slow stream? Thanks.

Does the reclaimer recirculate the oil back into the pump? If the oil goes from one tank into another than you will be baby sitting it all day. Now if the oil in the system recirculates then I would design the flow rate around the pumps need. You will lose some oil to the air with a reclaimer so having enough oil in reserve is the key. How high are you running the vacuum? The higher the vacuum the higher the heat. Oil cools so keep it well oiled.

The oil does recirculate from the reclaimer. It is running at about 21-22".
Thanks for the reply.
