Has anyone here made Maple Sponge Candy

I am trying to find out whether or not you need the vinager or how much baking soda to use

I have not made it but LOVE the molasses sponge candy that is sold at tourist spots. I have seen a recipe on the internet...I think I just Googled "Sponge Candy" recipe and got it. Good Luck. Share it if it comes out good, okay?

Sponge candy is made by adding
1 cup Maple Syrup
1/2 tablespoon of vinagar to your boiling syrup
boil till hard crack 302??
then sprinkle in 1/2 tablespoon of Baking soda
and stir then pour into a greased baking pan and let it cool.
Break it apart and try it it's a melt in your mouth maple flavor you will love
My recipe LOL I don't like adding any more than I have too to my Maple
