6 weeks, plus.
With several runs per week. Maybe 1 week in there where it freezes up and gives you a break, then a gang buster run for 4 days! All tanks full! All buckets full! evaporator and RO can't keep up!!!
Thats a good season, especially when your done with it!

A good season last long enough that you're sick of everything maple and don't visit this site for a week or more!
In the last 20+ years our longest season was 40 days from first to last boil with the average at about 30 days.

6 weeks but WITH SAP EACH WEEK is a good season.
Not like last year, I had sap the last week in Jan and then not until third week in Feb but then not again until two days towards the end of march. In essence three runs in eight weeks plus

We plan on tapping this weekend- can't wait!
We're tapped, but it isn't really running yet, so I expect it to get going in the beginning of March at the earliest.
