So I have to ask If 2% sap will bring 32.5 cents per gallon. Why did'nt I get paid 65 cents for 4.3% sap in 2010. I sold two loads of sap (and that was all the sap had last year) And I received 52 cents per gal. Anyone have a guess?

Actually 4.3% sap paid .85 cents last year. You were ripped off, but i dont know the whole story. Did you deliver the sap?

The digest says that prices are higher in the northeast and lower in the midwest. It also said that they were prices paid by SOME producers.

The prices in the Digest are just guidelines. It's still up to the individual producer the amount they are willing to pay. It's also up to the seller to negotiate a fair price for their sap. Keep in mind most sap hydrometers are calibrated for a certain temperature sap (38 degrees usually). You have to adjust for different temps.
