I'm looking for a nice trasfer pump for my sap. Currently have a small electric pump with 3/4" inlet and outlet. Takes way to long to transfer sap. Need to upgrade to a gas powered (perferably 4 stroke), lightweight, and capable of at least 100 gallons per minute.
Any help would be appreciated.

I just got that pump on friday. So far it looks good. Its a honda knock off. It only pumps 66 gpm though. Im running a 1 1/2" suction line and a 1" discharge line.

I am using one of the other models from TSC, the 6HP, and its only $30 bucks more and it works great.

I also just bought the pump in reply #2. I am using 1.5" suction and discharge. I looked at the others but they were too heavy to move around easily. Had I wanted to leave the pump on the truck and use a 60' suction I would have gotten the 6hp, but it would take too long to start pumping with such a long suction. Pumps push much better than they suck. The 6hp was much heavier. That is a good pump too, as I use one for irrigation water but those two uses can not be interchanged. The 1.5" pump is an easy 1 hand carry, the 6HP is a difficult 2 hand shuffle to move.

Maple flats, What are you using for hose for that pump and where did you get the hose? I am in need of one for a sap supplier, I told him I would furnish all equipment. I bought a big 2" pump last year, but then returned it when I found out there was some nasty things like grease and lead inside. I believe it was more for liquid fertilizer than anything else.

Are you guys still happy with those small TSC water pumps? Thought I'd ask before I bought one. Never really heard of Red Lion pumps but thought I'd look for an option to the Honda WX10 since I've heard from a couple guys that the Honda's start having carb issues after a while and there are no adjustments.

thanks
