squirrels and bleach

Do you think there is any truth to squirrels chewing tubing more if you use bleach to when you wash it??

Last spring I boiled a piece of dowel in sodium chloride brine and a second piece of dowel in calcium chloride brine. The two pieces were wired to the base of a small tree in an area frequented by squirrels.

Neither piece has been disturbed.

I dont wash my tubing and I have maybe 3 chews holes per year and a buddy 1/2 mile away had the whole woods destroyed. YUP he cleaned his BUT just think the recycler was happy with the clean plastic.
