Anybody have any ideas what kind of muffler I can use or a link for something on-line? It has to allow a gallon or two of water/minute to pass through.

I have the pump exhausted back to the cooling tank in the sugar house. There is an irritating squeal on the exhaust side, especially when leaking vacuum. I wrapped a blanked around the exhaust pipe where it enters the tank and this somewhat muffles it, but I'd like to quiet it down.

Danno--put a t in the line heading back into the tank, and run a pipe outside. The coolant will run down into the tank, and the air and noise will go outside. The T should be in the verticle, so that the air and water can separate.
