..likes/dislikes out there?
It will be attached to an 1.25" line. I'am curious if the bag will be able to handle this amount of sap coming in? Or am I going to have to fish it out of my tank every now and again after it dumps out all the filtered grime into my previously filtered sap?
I notice you can get a 17" or a 33" long sap filter bag.
...in Leader and D&G catalogues.

I've got one at the end of an 1.5" line. I haven't had to swim for it yet even though the first filter bag I had never quite set in the grooves well and always hung a bit cockeyed.

how'd you clean it? I use the laundry machine (rinse machine first) for the flat filters. Do you do the same for these?

We use them for the sap coming into the RO feed tank at the sugar camp and they work well. We've got several of them and switch them out every day. The used ones get a hot water wash (no soap or other cleaners) with the syrup and RO filters at the end of every day.

Like everyone hear has said---wash them with hot water every day. If you don't, they start to grow a yeast that will flavor your sap. As far as handling a large volume of sap, I have seen guys make a manifold of 3-4 of these to handle larger volumes.

thanks lads. Local supplier has one, so I'll give it a shot.
