are the blue food grade plastic barrels acceptable for shipping and storeing maple syrup? McKibben Maple

They have been selling them in the small 5 gallon sizes for many years for syrup storage, so not sure why the bigger ones wouldn't work. They work great for sap storage but have never used them for syrup storage.

Yes the blue 5 gallon jugs are made just for that syrup. In fact if you look at a dealers catalog the description says for syrup use. It is what I bulk my syrup in when Im to tired to deal with bottling for the night.
