Health spouts vs Traditional

Newbie question BUT...

I went to pick up some new supplies today and I was confronted with a new question...

"Health spouts" vs. 7/16

Advantages or disadvantages?

Should I be using one or the other?

they are a lot better for the trees as you are drilling a smaller hole, the down side is that you will lose a little sap. There are papers from studies done on the subject of a 7/16 vs a 5/16 and are on here. Try seaching for them. The short of it is you lose about 5-10% in some cases. Just add another tree and it will make up the difference. Have fun

MapleTrader is such a great resource. I have only made a few posts, but I have learned so much by reading and searching this site.

Guess I will be buying Health Spouts next time I need some more.
