Tapping on Gravity

Being new to tubing, I will be on gravity this year.The next two days it will be close to 40 but after that the next 5-6 days the sap will not run. What I would like to know when is to early to tap for gravity.

It may take a day or two for the trees to thaw out before they run. The thought of tapping crosed my mind also but...... I still think it's too soon for gravity, vac now that's another story.

I too am chomping at the bit, BUT, I agree with Tap. I'm going to wait one more week.

really you need to watch the long range forcast. If you see three+ days of consistantly 40+ degree weather, be tapped before it comes.
