What would be the yearly average yield on gravity for a 16 inch tree?
My timber I have access to is probably 14-16 inches considering it was select cut about 20 years ago. Maple must have been down then, because they're the bigger trees on there now.
Not sure it matters but I'm in south central PA.
Thanks again for your help.

If my memory serves me right, on gravity, a quart of syrup per tap is a good year which depending on sugar content would work out to 10 to 12 gallons of sap per tap per year.

along with the quart per tap, also plan for 1 gallon sap storage for each tap, with some reserve. i have found this works best when planning an operation/tubing system

I was told 1-2 storage, for every tap have 2 gallon of storage.
