Danny, have you found any help yet? I would be surprised if it would be hard to find help. It would be worth it for someone to help just for the experience of working with a large producer.

Jim,the only help I have so far is my youngest but he goes to school so he won't get here till around 4 in the afternoon. Then my oldest is thinking about helping out,but don't know how that will work either seeing he has a full time job.
So putting out 5500 this spring is looking pretty grimm at this time.

Danny, I think the 13" of snow that we just got is making people think twice about walking around in the woods. Good luck, I hope someone shows interest and gives you a hand.

sorta raises an interesting question... if you're looking for tapping help or gathering if by pails... what's the going rate for basic, dumb labor?

Dan, In the Neillsville area I would think you could hire Amish workers. Might want to put a ad in the Agri-View paper where they can see your ad. Good luck.

LOL... in a different field I pay $18/hour for that and then get to go around fixing all the problems.

jfroe939-I've had help from where they should pay me for being here,to where you can't pay them enough for the good work they do.

rhino-Yes I have amish here, but where I tap is 12 miles away.We gather with the 4 wheeler and haul it back so that leaves them out.

Maybe I should run an add that say's 2 snowbunny's in bikini's need help with sap season
