sap ladder directly in to releaser?

I am realizing I need to put a small (3 foot lift) two pipe-style sap ladder to get the right height in to my releaser. Is there any reason why I couldn't put the upper end of the two pipes of the sap ladder right in to the upper chamber on the releaser? I certainly have plenty of holes in the back...

If it's going to be the only mainline going into that releaser then I don't see why it wouldn't work. If you're going to have other lines, then combine the ladder into one pipe so you can put a valve and gauge on it.
