Gathered sap yesterday. Only a few trees yielding enuf to bother. But the bulked sap tested at 1.9 percent, up from the usual 1.8 percent.

I've got a little sap flowing today, but the extended weather forecast for SE Ohio doesn't look very good for sugaring, hope they are wrong.

I gathered today, got a little under 1/2 gal per tap. Better than the last gather, but sugar down to 1.5 percent. Many trees flowing, but not with much umph. Except one that was really going at it.

This weather looks like the end of the season unless we get a freeze soon.
