Apparenty, I forgot to cap off some of my taps last season and got some mud wasp nests built in them! Anyone else ever have this problem? Any easy solution to get them out? I was thinking of running a drill through them, or maybe soaking them.

same problem i had a few years ago, i just use a small ribbed nail to clean it out and spray some water in it with a water bottle.

Those buggers get into everything! I had some partial rolls of mainline that I left the ends open and they did the same thing.

The nail trick works good or tapping the end on the hammer will get some to pop out. I have replaced some when they get back in them.

I think some may have even gotten into the drop lines. I was thinking chucking a piece of tig wire in my cordless drill and running that down there to brake them up...then mayby flushing some water through there...or just let the sap take care of it!

Had the hole wasp in one of my drop lines. Looked like he got in and couldn't turn around had to change it for a new one and flush it out.
Got a few of them myself this year, never happened in the past though that I am aware of.

I only get them in the taps that fall off the tap plug/holder. Its only mud so ream it it out.
