Tapping in Lyme

Plan to tap in the morning before heading in to work. 15 taps this year...up from 5 last year.

Don't know if it's going to be worth the effort this late - but I tapped today in Old Lyme. Four buckets and four taps with tubing into a juice barrel. That's only up one tap from last year. After an hour or so, it looks like its running pretty well.

Let me know how it went...i checked to my buckets today and everything seems to really be drying up. Was hoping to get enough for one more gallon but not sure its gonna happen.

First day was pretty good, then very slow, but seems to have picked up again the past two days. It feels too warm during the day - but it looks like it will still get below freezing for a few more days, so I plan to continue collecting, but starting each day's sap by itself until it's concentrated enough I can tell if the taste is OK (then add it to the rest) or not (then pull the taps).
