I have a 75 cfm Alamo pump and I started it the first time yesterday. I could not see any oil drips in the little sight glasses on each side so I shut it down. There is at least a gal of oil in the reclaimer and it looks clean in that sight glass. Is there a way to open these up or do I need to buy a new, larger oiler. The dealer said that I need to see 15 drops a minute at the RPM and vac level I plan to use (19" and about 10 CFM speed, which his charts showed as being 700 RPM on the pump.)

Do you have the little wire inside the tubing at the bearing end? If so pull it out & oil should drip out then. If it doesn't obviously there is a blockage between the end & the reclaimer. If the oil does drip out with the wire removed, you just need to cut off a bit of the wire until you get the drip you want. It may take a few times but I would also like too much oil rather than too little, all it will do is fog the exhaust alittle more. I have ours set to drip every 3-5 seconds, running 18-20" with a 5 hp electric motor.

Thanks, I'll look for it and try to adjust the oil flow. Do I access it by removing the tubing at that end or do I need to open it further down?

Just unscrew the nut off the bearing end by the sight glasses, there should be a wire shoved up the tube or it may stick in the sight glass. Not a big deal, just be careful not to bend the wire.
