I have seen hoods with lights in them and I know steam-aways have them. Go to your local electrical supply (I don't know if the big box stores would have a fixture) or Grainger. They used to sell a sealed fixture like the ones I've seen in the steam-aways. They are similiar, if not the same thing, as the glass domed, enclosed fixtures you sometimes see in new barns. Apparently some (all?) codes require them to keep hay dust from entering the fixture itself and shorting it out.

Here is what you need. A vapor proof fixture. I got mine locally. Mine is a RAB model # VXBR100DG. They make vertical and horizontal. I got the horizontal to keep it close to the hood. I put glass rated to 500 degrees in hood and it works good.

Thanks for the quick replies. When I see what you use I went through the boxes of stuff in the barn and found two lights I took out of a spray booth. Good Luck this season. Lee
