Right now I have my old 2x8 flat pan, and am thinking of ordering a flue pan/front pan. My old arch was made for the flat pan. I'm up in Alaska and the arch is down in Minnesota so I can't look at it right now, but here's my questions:
Do you think a drop flue pan would drop down too far for my current arch, and if so, would there be a simple way to make it work or is a raised flue a better option?
Would the sap level and top edge of a raised flue pan sit up quite a bit higher than my old flat pan?
Any other obvious factors I should be thinking of to make this work?
I'd like to use my old arch if possible, but do you think I should just go ahead and get a new arch, too?
Thanks!
