getting the itch

hey all
getting my lines ready here in casco maine
just bought new arch and picking up weds
what do you all think about 2 more weeks or so gonna be a good year i think cant wait

Late last week we put out about 15 buckets just in case it ran. We saw there was going to be a couple of warmer days coming. Some trees did run. Checked them Tuesday and found one bucket with about a quart of sap, a couple more with about a pint and several buckets with only a couple of ounces.
Most of the buckets however were dry.
Not sure why some trees ran and others did not. I believe we have all sugar maples.
Anyway it has started a little:) we will probably wait another week or so to put out the remaining buckets about 60 more approx. good luck to you.
