PVC Pipe

I use pvc pipe to go from my preheater to the float, will the PVC pipe give my syrup a plastic taste? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

shouldn't give any off tastes. Just flush it out 1st if you have any glue joints in it. You want to get that stuff out. The glue should out gas the nasty stuff and not give any off flavors but you can never be to careful.

I use white PVC schedule 40 for the same thing you do, and I get no contamination, or off flavoring
