Anybody out there help me out? This is the first year firing this rig it is a oil fired unit 5 by 16.
Question #1 Does the power light stay on all the time?
Question#2 How does the perge switch work?
Question #3 When you turn it to on in the low fire mode does it fire right off? If so does the air solenoid go into open mode? Mine does not
Question# 4 When you flip the switch to auto does it make a change of sound so it sounds like it is in high fire.?

This is what Iam assuming. When I switch to perge it should fire then turn it to the on postion in the low fire mode. At that point solenoid should open the air flapper to get the needed air. Then flip it on to auto postion I should hear a tone change that sounds like it is going into high fire. Thanks for any info.

the purge mode operates the fan only, no oil, no fire. the theory is, you purge for a few minutes before firing, to eliminate any fuel vapors to avoid a small explosion... then low fire is just that, and auto is high fire... purge is also helpfull if you run your tanks out at the end of the night, it blows air only, speeding up the cool down cycle..

Thanks for the purge info. When you switch to low fire does it ignite right off?
Then when you switch to auto does it change tones like it goes into a high fire?
