I see that GE makes a 1 GPM Reverse Osmosis machine available on Ebay for about 400 bucks. I got in touch with the dealer and he has no experience with sap but asked if I could find out "What type of membrane" was used. If it is a standard membrane I might be able to fight the cost of fuel. Have to figure out how to preheat the sap to 77 degrees in a separae preheater but if I can recirculate the sap and keep the "waste" with the sugar in it I might be in business. With an oil fired 2x6 evap and only about 250 taps 1 GPM sure could help if set up right. With the cost of fuel it should pay for itself.
