I saw them at Verona and was tempted, but I've decided to get them from Lapierre. Welded and they look a lot better. 18 Ga too.

I did see them. Gauge was too light for a 30 gallon drum, in my opinion. Not all, but I expect some of those will implode from the contraction of of cooling syrup. All it takes is one, and there goes your savings...

What is the price on these drums? Do they only have 30 gallon?

That was the only size but they said other sizes may be coming. I'm just afraid of the gauge.

I was over at their shop a couple weeks ago and saw an imploded one that they put vaccum on to see how much it would take. It hit 22" before imploding. I would feel safe using them.

I think they were still around $180 maybe a little less. He said 20+ you get a discount. I have to go over this week and check on my pans so I will try and get more info. I know they had a trailer full of tanks being ready to ship to the lid manufacture when i was there 3 weeks ago.
