Won't they work on the green maple pro if you cut the tip off a bit?

I may use them next year because i have all blue leaders and black cdls. I hear all good about them. And i think they were experimental last year.

They also fit some old US Maple spouts that I had. Those have all been replaced by Lapierre stubbies.
Ok since I'm a wee bit cheap, I was tapping what could be a spout testing environment. Leader and Lapierre and CDL stubbies, check with the check valve.
Same with 7/16s from Leader, and even old green US maple 7/16s. But they don't fit 7/16 D&G spouts. They are just loose which is odd since the Lapierre adapters I used last year fit those the tightest.
Ok they really don't work on D&G 7/16s spouts. I just checked and had 50 of them hanging down, trees covered in frozen sap and nothing in the barrels needless to say I'm not happy.

Just ran in to this problem with my dg spouts.Cut off about 1/4or3/8 off, take 51/16 tap bit run it into spile to clean it up.Be careful not to mess up little fingers inside check valve.I was just using my linemen pliers ,but I think tobing cutters will work better,Ill let you know tomarrow.Good luck,Tom I meant to say becarefull when plugging into check valve, not to mess up little fingers

How do you all do the actual tapping?
Drill your tree, tap in the check valve, twist in tap?

Jeff,
Drill tree, Pound CV, Pound Stubbie. When they are set they stop going together. I have had them already loosen from frost. Pound and re pound. I do not care how hard it might be to seperate them. I do not want them to leak!
I drill the tree, stick the CV into the stubbie, insert into tree and tap/smack it home. The leader and Lapierre stubbies I've used really stick tight. I have to go out the one handed tool and swap out the ones that don't work.
