Will changing a flu pipe from 6 inch to 8 inch increase production? I am sure it will increase the draft but will that help significant with the boiling rate?

That depends on several factors. How big of an arch do you have?? If 6" is not sufficient enough for proper draft, then yes, an 8" pipe will definitely increase evap rate due to a lot more draft.

If your pans are able to capture and use the increased heat, then larger flue is better. If it just raises the stack temp and burns more wood, then I'd stay with 6". I'm running a 2'x4' flat pan, and it seems that 6" pipe is enough. My two cents.
