with a two handed tool it would be more than worth your money and time to change the whole drop tees and all. the first time you go to tap and grab the drop and the tee breaks at the base of drop you will be glad you did.

I have to agree with Maplecrest. I really think it would be at least as quick to change tee and drop. Nothing more frustrating than finding a broken tee at the end of the season and wondering if it leaked all year.

And also it will tighten up your sagging lateral lines, if there is any.

it is easiest and quickest just to change the tee also. a 2 handed tool works best, and a good pair of hand size pruners work best for cutting out the lines. ive tried just cutting the drops off and it was not worth the time and effort to spare the tees

hmmm are we changing the drops for sanitary purposes? the reason i ask is we are changing over to cv taps this year........my plan was to cut the old tap off and just put the stubby taps on......should i consider changing drops too?

The short answer is yes:) From what i have read on this site it is better to change both because of bacteria in the drop lines:( Hope this helps, Mike
