You'll like this one. When it's time I guess.

I plan for the first week of March, if it's sooner we rush around a little more.

Pending an early warmup probably start tapping Feb 20. Earliest we have tapped is Feb 9 and latest is March 4-5. Several years did not make any syrup till March 20th.

I wouldnt even begin to guess when we are gonna tap this year. The weather will tell me and it surely isn't in the near future. Which is good I guess, still lots to do.

That might have been me, I didn't clean the pans so the water would have some color but all for naught.

A couple years back I didn't make any before maine maple sunday. This year looks to be a bit later than normal but if you don't like the weather here in maine, wait a minute.

Went out to check things and break a path, I got about 1/2 way and the snow shoe bindings broke. It wasn't a nice walk back.

Brain, those bindings on the newer type snowshoes just don't stand up like the old ones made out of rawhide. I had the same kind of thing happen to me 2 years ago with 48'' on the ground. I had a few unkind words for the maker of the shoes. Hope this is not a sign of events to come.

How did the sugar house finish up?

The sugar house is closed in and will be done this summer. But it's all set to go.

Jeremy, Heard the snow is a bit deep up there! Maybe this cold snap will firm up the snow a bit. I can't believe you don't have WiFi at the sugarhouse. LOL
