Ok I have to admit I laughed pretty hard at that.
Already snowing wicked hard at 9 this morning. And today is supposed to be the light 6 inch or so day.

I'm glad were only getting 3-4" out of this, Milwaukee and Chicago are supposed to get 18-24". we already have 3 feet on the ground this year and i think i need to buy snowshoes!

That is the most accurate weather map for this storm that I have seen. We were supposed to get 12" or better total. Now they say 1" to 3" total. Things really changed in the matter of 5 hours. That is how it goes here. If they say a dusting, you had better plan on getting some serious snow. If they call for a foot or better, just relax.

Keeping my fingers crossed that we dont have too much ice damage.

OK so far today I am not impressed with the storm to end all storms here. its just not living up to the hype!!! its lunch time and I have about 5.5 inches of snow....its been snowing since 5-530am or so. We had 1 real heavy shot for about an hour.

Be thankful thats all you have gotten over on the other side of lake in crown point ny we had 5 inches at 5 am. Now we have right around 10 to 11 inches and still snowing fine and hard. Glad i shoveled roofs off yesterday or i would of been in trouble for sure. cpmaple

i would have much rather seen snow than the 1/4in of ice we have got so far. really don't need anymore snow as its hard enough trying to get around w/ 3+ft on the ground. that map is great.

We ended up with around 8". Well under what they were calling. At least everyone got to stock up with 2 weeks supply of bread and milk! Hanafords and Shaws are happy!

We had about 10 inches to a foot on the ground here at the begining of the week. These last few days melted most of it leaving about 4 inches. Just in time for me to tap this weekend. Perfect. Dont need snowshoes.

Saw some photos from friends in OH tonight and looks like they had lots of ice and lots of branches on the ground. Several maples had dozens 1-2" diameter branches either on the ground or hanging upside down. Not good for sure.

12'' or about here. Now we have 30+'' on the ground. Sure will be a snow shoe tapping year. Got to love the snow if you live here in Maine.

about the MAP sure made me laugh.

Yep. We had about 1/4" coating of ice on everything and 40mph winds. I've not been out to the bush, but we had several big branches down on our street. And we lost power for about 12 hours today.
