Maple Jelly .... Permits Required??

I want to possibly start making and selling maple jelly. I have seen in other posts that say NY requires permits for suckers unless its 100% pure. So my question is do I need to do anything special to sell maple jelly in NY.

If your going to sell maple jelly be sure to mix the genugel is mixed well before you add it to the maple syrup otherwise your jelly will be lumpy Medium or dark grade a taste best

I never heard of genugel. WHere can it be purchaced?

genugel I beleive is a seaweed that allows maple syrup to congeal into jelly regular pectin will not work and yes I get mine from Bascom's maple farm in N.H.
