I'm looking to round up all the State, Provincial, and Federal maple syrup regs for my directory so they are all listed in one place but need some help finding the right links. What I'm after are the actual laws for your State or Province directed at maple production and/or sales. Two examples I already have are Vermont (http://www.vermontagriculture.com/documents/MapleLawRegs.pdf) and Ontario (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/regs/english/elaws_regs_900386_e.htm). If you have bookmarked the laws & Regs for your own State would please pass that link along to me? I'm not sure which States have maple specific regulations or which department or agency is responsible for them making it tough to Google. I'm looking for direct links to the info from the department that oversees maple rather than summaries or re-prints from other organizations.

I'm sure I can find the USDA info myself but if you already have that link I'll take it as well.

Thanks to everyone that can help.

- Bryan

This is great... thanks to everyone that's shared. I'll have these all listed in one place tonight for future Maple Traders that come asking for "the rules". Over the past few years I've seen this topic come up every year for various jurisdictions. I'll find the ones that are still missing by the weekend but a few attempts at Google quickly reveled how much of a challenge it will be.

I'll add the Canadian Federal regs to this thread and others as I find them;
http://laws.justice.gc.ca/en/C-0.4/C.R.C.-c.289/index.html

So far we have;

Canada Federal
United States Grades
Ontario
Vermont
New York
Michigan
New Hampshire
Connecticut

I'll add others as I find them over the weekend or please share if you have your own state bookmarked so they are all in the same thread for future reference.

it all depends on the state, NY is reasonably easy, try going to the departments of agriculture and search maple

How about Pennsylvania & Wisconsin? The challenge for me in finding all this info is not knowing what the department or agency involved is called for each State. Department of Agriculture is good, but what about Rural affairs, or Food, or Forestry, or Natural Resources, etc. I'm just asking that if you live in a certain State or Province and know where the regs are available online, I could use that info. If you don't know, no biggie. I will find them myself sooner or later if they are available at all.
