Has anyone invested in a propane forklift to move material around? If so, what size do you recommend to move say, a pallet of 250mL maple leafs? I'm trying to figure capacity. What does a pallet of 250's weigh empty?

Unless your only moving pallets around in a warehouse you wont want a propain forklift. I would get a skidsteer or farm tractor with a front bucket. Smaller bobcats that can lift 1500+ lbs you can get on craiglist for less than $10,000 I cant imagine a forklift being much cheaper. If you dont want to spend much and are only moving things in a warehouse or on a loading dock into trailers you could get a pallet jack. They even make electronic pallet jacks for $1000 or less.

I thought about that. But I have seen $2500 yale or clark forklifts on craigslist. They lift between 3500-5000#'s. I thought it would be great to store things on pallet racking. I was concerned with weight capacity.
