I have a 2x3 drop flue and a 2x3 flat divided front pan. Sap will be entering at a min temperature of 180 from my preheater. I know there are a ton of variables, but I'm looking for an idea of the number of taps my setup may handle. I'd like to do as much as I can, but don't want to end up overshooting by 100 taps. An thoughts from experience?

I think most catalogs rate a 2x6 for around 300. But I will have 800 on mine again this year I hope. Only difference is I have a 4 foot flue and insomnia.

when I had a 2 x 6, I had a 4 foot raised flue pan, and a 2 foot syrup pan. I could only get abut 400 gallons per day through it, and we boiled about 17 huors a day. I had no preheater. If you figure 1 gallon per tap per day...
