Yes. It seems like with this and the consolidation of Waterloo/small/lappiere/cdl there is some major restructuring going on in the equipment industry. I hope there will be enough companies to provide competition in the future.

Algier & Waterloosmall evaporators are built the same, by the same people. Most parts are interchangable.

There were getting to be more evaporator companies than brand of shoes. I knew it was going to happen probably sooner than later especially with the Federation setting the amount of production and the price. Besides, Algier's prices went up a ton over the past two years. :?

Algier was building evaporators for Waterloo/Small. Algier used to be Small Bros until they sold out to Waterloo and reopened under Algier. 8O

The Algier family made a great evaporator. Chris Algier told me the
'larger company' up there would pressure the foundry and steel supplyer to keep raising Algiers prices, they all buy from the same supplyers, but the 'larger company' would buy twice as much as Algier and made thier casting price increase 50% in two years time. As well as the steel prices. I think in the U S , that would be a lawsuit. It's to dam bad to say the least. Walmart always wins.

Shame they wouldn't relocated to the US and give the other US company some competition. :?
