is the disgusting heat we've been having good or bad for the starch/sugar content for this coming season??? i would guess its good as long as we keep getting rains regularly, but i wanted to see if anyone really knew:)

I believe a good hot summer is good or a healthy tree. I am not talking a drounght. Just watch your leaves if the tree is healthy they should be a good dark green and no bare spots. As the summer progresses the leaves should not change early if they do it may be a sign that the tree is stressed. As long as there is plenty of water in the ground and warm summer weather the trees are healthy they should make plenty of starch for the upcoming season. The weather in NH seems to be ideal right now for a good season next year.
