Its not to a sugar house but it is a very impressive pull I helped with. Its Parallel 500MCM 3 wire URD in 3" conduit. The conduit in the ground as of the day we pulled is 1,370' to the meter socket stantion is 25' and the rest will be slleeved in conduit once house location is set.http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e234/poultneyfiredog18/IMG00266.jpg

You should be able to run a HUGE RO.

Just my opinion - After 35 years in the business, 1300+ feet is way too long a run for secondary voltage. It doesn't matter what size the wire is. 1200 ft of primary and a hundred ft 4/0 service would have been a much better choice.

High voltage primary was talked about but this is what the owner and "excavator/electrician/carpenter" came up with before I got involved. They were going to put like 3 pull points with splices at each, I suggested to them into doing 2 long pulls.
If I remember my calcs, we were below the 7.2% allowed.
