I personally dont have Boiling Sodas, but I do have sugar house cleaning sodas, equipment cleaning sodas, talking about maple sodas, tubing sodas and TV sodas. Just to much going on near the HOT evaporator.

See now your talking about a niche market. I think selling syrup in beer bottles would be a great idea in Wisconsin. Now do I use the clear,Green or go with the brown and would I need to compensate for the color when grading and labeling........................Shut up Chuck that thread was dead:mad:

I do have a friend that showes up with all kinds of bottles for syrup when we are bottling. He insists that we fill used Catsup bottles plastic squeeze bottles do it every year

Gentlemen; I stopped at Shaver Hill Farms Maple this November (SE New York state) and they were bottling for a local pub- Med Amber Maple syrup in NEW beer bottles. Said they bottle about 10 cases per year for them .Just a thought!

I couldn't remember when I first introduced the term "Boiling Soda" to the maple producing world. Thank you Patrick for finding that. I see that it was almost 6 years ago. Time flies when you are having fun.

Jerry there were many "boiling sodas" consumed before the term was even invented. There have been too many consumed since to count. I just know that there are a lot of Killian's bottles in the trash can every time that it needs to be emptied and it needs to be emptied often.

Scott a Captain and Coke does have soda in it but it's not a beer. I don't think that it can be called a "boiling soda" by the original definition of the term. That doesn't mean that you can't enjoy one or two while you are boiling though.
