I haven't heard much about the poly tubing. Same stuff?

Am I right that choosing a non-clear tubing will be ever so slightly better at absorbing heat and ridding the tube of blocking ice?

I'm a bucket-on-the-ground guy this year.

Both rigid and semi-rigid tubings are formulations of polyethylene tubing. The older style of tubing (becoming pretty rare these days) was PVC.
