Orlon Filter?

Does anyone know how many micron the orlon filter bags are? What about using other, cheaper filter bags, like polypropylene, from McMaster Carr? I use them for filtering sap, but have used only the standard cone filter for syrup.

I don't know what micron the orlon filters are, I know they are not the least expensive filters to purchase but they last a long time. we have 4 or 5 of them, use them with the pre filters, and rinse them out. we have had the same ones for several years. They are a good value in my book
