What is the cost to convert a wood-fired 2x6 to forced air????

If you make the plenum yourself , you will have about $75-100 in the blower, $40 in the plenum, about $15 in a fan control rheostat plus wiring.

Make sure you size the blower for about 3 CFM per square inch of stack cross sectional area.

The one I just made had a 265 CFM blower and my stack is 10" in diameter. When up and running full steam, I run the blower almost wide open.
