Ok I re read the hickory syrup thread. It is basically using the bark for the flavor.
I love sassafras tea. but I have to add quite a bit of sugar to get past the bitterness... Has anyone here ever tried adding enough sugar to take it to syrup? just think of the beautiful aroma and color one would have... I am off to the garage to see if I can find any root....
