Does anyone know what the Micron rating is of the paper-like, 6 1/2" round milk filters for the strainers are? Or is there no rating for them? Were going to use one of these strainers this year when we dump buckets and was curious as to how "fine" they filtered compared to the water filters (extremely fine) that some folks pump their sap through.

Thanks,
Steve

I just got the filters the other day from Eastern Crown. They should catch the debris that comes with dumping buckets.

I'm in the east part of town. Almost to the Oneida/Herkimer county line.

Anyone have an idea on the microns of the milk filters? Any ideas on the micron ratings of the pre-filters or press papers? The press papers must have a higher rating since their catching the nitre.

Actually filter press papers don't filter much of anything.
What they do filter is to catch the diatomaceus earth, aka
DE or Filter Aid. That is what does the filtering and a layer of it on the filter paper can trap stuff down to about 5 microns.
