What do you guys use for a PH meter for your ROs? Any recommendations or ones to stay away from?

I don't use a PH meter, I use ph test strips that I get from a local dealer. PH meters would be more accurate though, would be my thought.

Is there anything special about the test strips you use? Can something like this be used?

I found this in Grainger. Pretty cheap. Can this be used?

Matt, have you used it for awhile? I got one similar last year off ebay, and it worked fine for a few weeks, but then the reading went way off, and I couldn't even calibrate it. How are you supposed to get to the paper decently to trim it?
Thanks,
Tim

I don't know if current models are better than those of a few years ago, but they frequently go out of calibration and re-calibration is something to look into. I would guess re-calibrating in February would do you for a season.

I have used it for 2 years now. It still is working or was last I used it. I make sure I flush it out good after each use. Maybe I just got lucky.

What's the required pH range for test strips? They're just used to check the wash solution, correct?

Depending on what memebranes you have? Yes it is for your wash solution, I try not go over 11 ph no matter which membrane I am cleaning with the strips because I don't trust them even though I should.
